“I’m A Player Too”
Emma Cairo is no stranger to the music scene, having been born into a musical family in Odense, Denmark. "My father is a popular jazz musician, and he is my greatest influence," says Emma, a Scandinavian singer/songwriter now living and working on her music in Los Angeles. Emma has been writing, singing, and performing in the Danish capital Copenhagen for the past 10 years, a musical background that is revealed in her melodic and nordic-toned songs.
Now having been in Hollywood for two years Emma has played at most Hollywood venues such as; The Knitting Factory, Safari Sam's, The Cat Club, The Pig & Whistle, The Rainbow, Boardner's, The Stone Bar, Crane's Hollywood Tavern and Genghis Cohen. Recently her song "I'm A Player Too" was played on The Playboy Radio Morning show when she guested the show and at the moment her song "I'm In The Box" is in rotation on iRADIO indie104.
As a songwriter, Emma has developed her craft into an expressive and rich medium which showcases her unique voice and talents. "Music is the wind under my wings," she says. "Creating songs is an emotional path that is sometimes hard to walk, but I have to--to get the feelings out and to feel the release when the song is complete."
Indeed, the tone and depth of her songs truly highlight her dynamic and colorful voice, which can range from bright and powerful, to soft and mysterious. The avid listener can tell that this voice, the voice of Emma Cairo is one that will be heard for many years to come.
May 2010 Emma joined the cover band Xpress, entertaining at 5 star hotels in Asia & the Middle East till Feb 2011. She has been performing at The Xiu club at Park Hyatt in Beijing from May till September 2010. Then on September 4th starting a new contract at club Night Magic at The Tropicana Rosetta in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, till the end of the year.
